THIS WAS A REALLY ENJOYABLE PHOTOSHOOT. ROSI AND HER KIDS WELCOMED ME WITH OPEN ARMS INTO THEIR AMAZING HOME BURSTING WITH LIFE AND CREATIVITY. ROSI RUNS A LOCAL CIRCUS SKILLS GROUP FOR HOME EDUCATED CHILDREN THAT I WILL PHOTOGRAPHING IN ONE OF THE NEXT TWO MODULES, WHERE I AM GOING TO TRY AND RECORD THE LIKES OF COOPERATIVE GROUPS, FOREST SCHOOLS, BEACH SCHOOLS, HOME ED COLLECTIVES, ALTERNATIVE AND DEMOCRATIC SCHOOLS, AND STEINER WALDORF SCHOOLS.
THE LIGHT WAS BEAUTIFUL THAT DAY AND THE WOOD IN THEIR HOME REALLY MADE THE MOST OF THAT, IT WAS NOTHING SHORT OF BEAUTIFUL. I HAD ALREADY DONE A PHOTOSHOOT THAT MORNING WHEN I GOT TO ROSI SO A CUP OF TEA, THE WARM GLOW OF THE SUNSHINE ON THE WOOD WAS SO SOOTHING FOR THE SOUL. SOLOMON WAS RECOVERING FROM A BROKEN BONE SO WAS EXPLAINING ALL ABOUT HIS LOVE OF SKATING TO ME, AND WHY HE COULDN’T TAKE ME OUTSIDE TO SHOW ME HIS RAMPS AND TRICKS, WHICH HE HAD REALLY WANTED TO DO, AND LOLA AFTER TAKING A LITTLE TIME TO WARM TO ME AND MY CAMERA, GRADUALLY STARTED SHARING HER STORY OF HOW SHE HAD COME TO BE HOME EDUCATED AND HOW SHE FILLED HER DAYS NOW.
